Soudal has acquired the French company Tramico, market leader in precompressed foam tapes for the construction sector, with headquarters and production facility in Gournay-en-Bray. The business will continue to expand its production and market leading sales activities in precompressed tapes and noise insulation in France.
Aftertwelveyears, thesuccessfulJoint Venture between Soudal and the Indian McCoyhas come to an end. Soudal has become the sole owner of the company, nowcalled ‘Soudal India’. The business will continue to expand its marketleadingproductionand sales activities in sealants, polyurethane(PU) foams and adhesives in India.
Today, on Everdongenlaan in Turnhout, which is just a stone's throw from Soudal's headquarters, the first column for Soudal Plant 5 was ceremonially placed. This new, hyper-modern production site will produce adhesives and sealants from 2023 onwards. Plant 5, which will support the further growth ambitions of the Kempen specialist in silicone, adhesives, and PU foams, will also provide additional employment.
In 2020, Soudal has achieved a turnover of € 911 million, which is an increase of 2% compared to 2019. The net result amounts to € 44 million.
